Meeting the author

Changing Hands bookstore hosted Brandon Mull today.

I love taking the girls to see an author in real life, and have their books signed.

Brandon was extremely kind with his time and was very interested in what his readers do for fun. Saw lots youngsters there today.

Other kinds of learning

Sewing has become a totally enriching experience. I love it, and when the stars (time, creative energy, and inspiration) align, I stretch myself and pick a project that is challenging.

Harry Potter Revisited

We did it. We heard the last part of the last book on Friday. The CD is still in the player and we are playing it again. It's hard to let go after a 9 month daily dose of Harry and his friends. I confess that I would benefit for a do over of the entire series. There are so many tidbits that one misses in a story. It was a wonderful experience for the girls and I. We may have started an audio book tradition.
